Resolved Question: Help with growing sunflowers from seads please.?

Just planted some seeds from a package and to my surprise...they are growing in our poor soil in Bothell, WA. The package says to let them get about 4" then space them out about 12" apart. What tool should I use to move the plants to a new location? Will they survive the move if I am careful with the roots. I want to space them to make a wall of flowers.
